Tennis Tournament
Sunday, Oct. 30
Balcones Country Club

Project Graduation 2012 hosted its first annual tennis tournament on Sunday October 30th – the Tennis Spooktakular! It was a lot of fun for everyone – tennis players, fans, family, friends! The weather was perfect and the food (cooked by our own Wayne Conrad) was delicious. Thanks very much to Dan Weger at Balcones Country Club for letting us use their wonderful facility. We appreciate everyone coming out and participating in this event – hopefully it will become a Westwood tradition!
Skeet Shoot& BBQSunday, Oct. 2

1st Annual Westwood Skeet Shoot Tournament
The 1st
Annual Westwood Skeet Shoot was a “booming” success! We had a perfect day and location for a host
of Westwood families to come together and enjoy beautiful Hill Country weather
while raising over $4,000.00 for Project Graduation 2012. Twenty-two Two Person teams competed in a 5
station/50 target tournament. It was
great watching Father/Son, Father/Daughter, and Buddy teams as they vied for
the honor of being the inaugural Skeet Shoot Champions. A loud shout out goes to the many Westwood
gals who gave th
ose boys a run for their money! And the winners are…
Champions: Brad (Class of 2012)
and Tony Florence - 42 points
2nd Place: Connor
(Class of 2013) and Scott Smith - 39
points
3rd Place: Harrison
(Class of 2009) and Steve Johnson - 38
points
Raffle Grand Prize Winner: Caydee Dickensheets
Many thanks go out to
the entire Project Graduation 2012 Committee, The Bill Heathcott family and
McBride Guns for the Grand Raffle Prize, Dickensheets Design Associates for the
rockin’ music, Kevin Thornton and Wayne Hollier with Hell I Don’t Know Cookers
for the awesome BBQ dinner, the many families who donated tables, chairs and
trucks to set up the event, Sharise Beck and Ruth Ann Dickensheets for keeping
all of the details straight, and those fabulous Senior girls who tirelessly
scored the entire tournament. I hope
your hearing returns to normal before you head off to college…
A very special Thank
You to the Jim Cotton family for graciously hosting this fun event at their
ranch in Watson, Texas. Your generous
offer of time, location and experience made this event such a success.
